Course Offerings

Harley-Davidson® of Kingwood Riding Academy is striving to bring the best motorcycle training possible to all of our customers. With that, we have expanded the types of course we offer:

The Updated New Rider Course: This is a 2 ½ day course is for those who have a desire to learn to ride a motorcycle. If you can ride a bicycle, you can sign up for this course. The NRC-u combines 3 hours of online learning with 5 hours of challenging classroom activities and 10 hours of on motorcycle training. We provide the motorcycles; you provide your gear and a desire to be on 2-wheels. The NRC is also a great way for even experienced riders to refresh their basic skills. Our class schedule is posted under the “Riding Academy” section.

The Additional Practice Session: This is a 1-day course for those who want more ‘seat time’. You must have completed our NRC (it doesn’t matter if you passed or not) to attend. Again, we provide the motorcycles; you provide your gear. The APS is a great way to get more practice on the training motorcycles, in a controlled environment and under the tutelage of our Rider Coaches. Contact our Riding Academy Manager for the class schedule.

The Skilled Rider Course: This is a 1 and a half day course you take on your motorcycle. It will help refresh your basic skills and fine-tune controls at low speeds, limited space maneuvers, cornering judgment, and more. The SRC also uses several ‘tabletop’ activities to hone your safety thinking and strategies. Your motorcycle must be street-ready with valid insurance. Our class schedule is posted under the “Riding Academy” section.

The 3-Wheeled Basic Rider Course: This is a 2-day course for those who are new to 3-wheeled motorcycles. The course will allow you to get your Texas M endorsement (Trike Only) if you do not already have your M endorsement. Since 3-Wheeled motorcycles handle differently than 2-wheeled motorcycles, we strongly suggest all Trike riders take this course. The skills you will learn in the 3WBRC will help you understand and enjoy riding even more. You do have to provide your own 3-wheeled motorcycle that is street-ready and insured. Contact our Riding Academy Manager for class scheduling or questions.
